I love slot machines--that's probably obvious because of the name of the site. I hope you like slots, too, because if you don't, you're sure to be disappointed by what I've written and shared here.
I'm especially interested in slot machines designed by a company located in Australia called Aristocrat. They weren't licensed to sell their games in Nevada until the year 2000, but prior to that, they'd been designing some of the most innovative and exciting pokies in the business. ("Pokies" is what they call slot machines in Australia.)
In 2010, Aristocrat started making some of their games available online, too. My favorite of their games is called 50 Lions. If you're clever, you'll recognize right away that "lions" is an almost-homonym for "lines", so that name references not only the theme of the game, but also the number of paylines in the game.

The video above is of another Aristocrat slots game, "More Hearts". You'll notice that it features lots of reels, lots of symbols, and all kinds of crazy bonuses. These are what make Aussie style slots so popular.
You'll also notice that the symbols are based on playing cards, but it also includes symbols of hearts, butterflies, and diamonds. Unlike most videos of slots on the Internet, this one is pretty long--about 5 minutes or so. (Most slot machine videos on the Internet are notoriously short.
Here's a video of the 50 lions pokies I was talking about earlier, too:

Doesn't that look like a fun game to play? I like the zebras, the lions, and the giraffes on this game. The sound effects are pleasant and exciting, too. I also love the way that the game "rains coins" when you hit certain symbol combinations.
Like most slots from Aristocrat, 50 Lions offers a robust bonus game, and it looks like this:

I like other slot machine games besides the ones designed by Aristocrat, though. Another of my favorites is the ever-present and perennially popular Wheel of Fortune slot machine game shown below:
I read a great story once about a player who was playing next to someone at the game who won the progressive jackpot, which, as you can see from the attached video, a huge amount of money. In fact, for most people, it's a life-changing dollar amount.
But the player was disappointed, and when his neighbor asked why, it was because he didn't get to spin the wheel. Never underestimate how powerful the psychology behind these games can be.
